Lisa Kay HQ Prepares for SS20 Collection Whilst Trend Forecasting

We might still be ingrained in  AW19, but at Lisa Kay London we can’t help but think ahead to the upcoming season and where fashion will lead us in the next 3 months.

Behind the scenes we have been busy designing and creating our SS20 collection from comfortable summer wedges to elegant heels and we cannot wait to show you the final compilation!

Whilst designing Lisa Kay SS20, we have been carefully looking at upcoming trends, textures and colours and carefully picking the best. Here is an exclusive round up of trends coming your way in Spring/Summer:

Mary-Jane Heels

The classic shoe style, Mary-Jane has had a long history with fashion, dating back centuries and appearing in cult fashion films, such as  Sex and the City. Who can forget Carrie Bradshaw discovering a pair of Manolo Blahnik Mary-Jeans? Expect to see this shoe style amongst bold as well as neutral colours.

Espadrilles

Year on year, we see the return of Espadrilles and there is only one reason for this - they’re so versatile! Each time we see a twist on the last and next year is no exception. Look forward to everything from thick platforms and embellished straps to detail galore! They go with all outfits, so envision them in the Lisa Kay SS20 Collection.

Flatform Sandals

Since the rise of 70s/boho fashion emerged as one of the biggest trends last year, it was no surprise to see the trend has materialised for spring/summer. With everything from jewelled flatforms to open-toe sandals, there are plenty of ways designers will be adopting them. Oh, and we have an incline that we will see platform espadrilles!

Cut Away Sandals

We’ve had architectural clothing and now SS20 forecasts cut away sandals. This aesthetic utilises cut out techniques to create new structures. Deep V toes and high cut toplines complete the overall silhouette of toe rings and ultra-wide straps. Cut away designs expose and conceal different areas of the feet for a modernist style.

Colour, Colour and More Colour!

During spring and summer people yearn for natural, lighter colours but a trend we keep seeing popping up is canary yellow and blazing orange. From casual footwear to elegant shoes, luxe finishes like satin and leather will compel us to wear the bolder tones and stand out.

Keep an eye out for any of the key theme aesthetics that will be inspiring the women’s footwear market throughout SS20 and more importantly, stay tuned for the unveiling of Lisa Kay London’s SS20 Collection. In the meantime, take a look at our  SS19 Holiday Collection.
